Greeting from EASE

Seiji Naito, M.D., Ph.D.

On behalf of the East Asian Society of Endourology (EASE), I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to President Dr. Yinghao Sun and his team for organizing the 10th Annual Meeting of the EASE in conjunction with the 13th CUA Annual Meeting of Endourology and Annual Meeting of Asian Society of Endourology (ASE) at Hefei, China.

EASE was established during the 18th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Endourology and ESWL (JSEE) at Okayama, Japan in 2004 in cooperation with the local endourological societies of 5 countries/regions: China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Since the 5th Annual Meeting in Shanghai in 2008, Philippine has been a member of this society. Therefore, this year, the EASE celebrates its 10th anniversary with a total of 6 countries/regions.

Since the first meeting in Japan, we have published the proceedings of the meeting as the official journal of the EASE, “Recent Advances in Endourology”. During these 10 years, EASE has contributed to promote our scientific exchange in the field of endourology and built a good relationship among endourologists of our countries/regions. EASE has recently come to be recognized by the world as the really active international society of endourology in the East Asia. I hope that EASE will continue to grow and provide an opportunity to improve the level of endourological skill and science in Asia in close coordination and cooperation with ASE.

Finally, thank you again President Dr. Yinghao Sun for preparing such a wonderful meeting and warm hospitality. I believe that this meeting will be fruitful for all the participants and concluded with great success.
